本文先追溯孕育出當前訓導制度的傳統教育思想,並剖析在現代開放社會中的大學生心態,然後以一項實徵研究的發現為例,說明當前有關訓導問題的爭議,源自部份大學生對權威者「專断意志」的抵制。作者以為:當前大學訓導問題的根本解決辦法,在於建立合理的制度,以融合有關人員的不同意志,並依照普遍性的原則來決定和訓導問題有關的各項事務。

英文摘要:

This paper traces the traditional Chinese educational thoughts on which the current disciplinary system of universities in Taiwan is originated and discusses some relevant student attitudes to identify the major university disciplinary problems. The findings of an empirical research are cited as evidence to support the argument that most controversial disciplinary issues result from students' resistance to the "arbitrary will” of the authorities in the administrative system. The authors assert that the best way to resolve these issues is to develop a more rational disciplinary procedure so as to incorporate wills from all those to be involved in determining a disciplinary measure or action in accordance with universal principles.
