涉及精神病患的社會支持網絡建立的工作，必先清楚這些網絡中的成員對精神病患的態度。社區居民與病患家屬是社區網絡中的重要資源，因此，瞭解他們對精神病患的態度，才可能提供未來有關社區支持系統模式的計。
本研究隨機抽樣草屯地區的居民305位，及中部地區的療養院所之門診病患家屬198位，進行有關精神病患態度、概念、與語意量表的測試。
英文摘要:
To establish the social support system for the mentally ill, it is necessary to understand the attitudes of the members within the social network toward them. The community and the family are two important resources in this system. Understanding their attitudes toward the mentally ills will help to design a model of the social support system in the future.
