本研究想探討的是，當今台灣地區的夫妻，在社會變遷的過程中，夫妻關係内的衡突觀與調適方法是否也正面臨著改變的挑戰？怎樣的調適與改變對夫妻關係較具建設性的功能？怪於夫妻衡突因應方式、分類與测量工具，國内多半沿用西方，而缺本土化的工具。木研究目的在延續研究者過去在本土夫妻衡突質化研究的結果，希望可以回答幾個研究問题，包括（一）本土夫妻所面對的衡突議题的分類；（二）本土夫妻面對衡突方式的分類與测量：（三）良性衝突歴程與惡性衡突歴程的螯清。研究結果顯示，本土夫妻所面對的衡突歴程議题，以小孩教養、溝通方式、家事分工，上一代的介入等用坡常見的問题，反映出婚姻主要還是家庭的婚姻，而非单钝的兩人的婚姻。另外，在衡突轉化歴程的测量方面，包括有「改變觀」、「和諧觀」、「自在觀」、「宣洩觀」，「依附觀」等五種面對衡突的態度，辩證及調節等兩種回饋歴程，以及「顺從隔離」、「宣洩指责」、「面質挑戰」、「配合調整」，及「僵特己见」等五種衡突因應方式。其中，辯證與調節等兩種回饋歴程均對於積極的因應方式發揮的轉化作用。

Results show that married couples in Taiwan are usually conflict over issues of raising children, communication, household chore sharing, and the generation interference, which relate to whole family, instead of two married partners. In addition, the measures of conflict transformation process include five conflict attitudes, dialectic and accommodating feedback process, and five conflict coping means. And, dialectic and accommodation process arc all exert positive influence to constructive conflict process.The research is to explore how Chinese couples in Taiwan deal with their marital conflicts and their adjusting and transformation processes. Following the previous qualitative research, this research plans to devise a set of measurement instruments to measure marital conflict transformation process, and to delineate the constructive and destructive conflict process.
